I'm looking for a small boat and/or sailing dinghy (8-14 feet) that would be a good starter boat for my young daughter and her cousins (6-8 now) and fun for the 'dults at the lunch hour.

We'd be sailing out of Redwood City, staying south of 92. We have a Ranger 26 for longer more serious sails and sailors. I'm looking for something learning/fun along the lines of the FJs, Daysailers, Lightnings of my youth. Any ideas?
